Not any time soon. While their growth rate is high we can attribute that to relaxed econ regulation on a closed market. However, the purchasing power per capita is like 4-6 thousand dollars. Thats what happens when centralized China is fast becoming urbanized, and you still have 100's of millions of Chinese farmworkers living in the midlands. Central China is 1st world, mainland China is still 3rd world.[/quote:1ff53]
+ ive heard wages are increasing and workers are becoming a bit sauvy...still cheap but i think with time the standard of living will rise for the china men...also take into consideration that the trwemendous growth is due to the government seeing the writing on the wall and allowing more independant growth and indivdual wealth...i dont think they will surpass us though....US doesnt like not being #1 sleeping:
