I dunno if Bassanova can be considered Latin music, but Sergio Mendez & Brasil 66 are classic and fucking brilliant South American jazz. i love that shit.

I think they did those tracks that were on the old Nike soccer ads, with the Brazilian soccer team - and also that song in the opening of the first Austin Powers film.

Also - Ozomatli is a Latin band that fuses some hiphop and rock into their music....Very cool stuff - They also use Chali2na from Jurassic 5 as their emcee.
