Default Woman Pays $50,000... - 12-23-2004, 06:54 AM

..to clone her dead cat.oOo:
It was on the news and the woman claimed it remembered all the tricks she had taught it and loved water as her deceased cat did.

[quote:3d8f5]NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - A Dallas woman has received a clone of her dead cat after paying $50,000 to a California biotech company, a Texas newspaper reported.

The Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday that the 8-week-old cloned kitten -- dubbed Little Nicky -- was born in Austin and presented to a Texas woman named Julia who was saddened by the loss of the cat, also named Nicky, she had owned for 17 years.

The copied cat, which was delivered to Julie on Dec. 10, is the first ever cloned-to-order pet sold in the United States, the newspaper said.[/quote:3d8f5]
