golly no, especially since it's on the western tail end of PA and one main ways to get to the midwest. used to be an East Virginia, did you know that ? only the colonists got so sick of explaining the world beyond to them they sawed it off and let it float out into the ocean..........it eventually became what we now know as puerto rico.

Having your local university considered a top university by high life magazine doesn't make it a premire insitution for learning. hell, slippery rock PA was once considered a top university.........for partying.

For one thing Virginia and West Virginia are completley different. There kind of seperated by the Appalachain mountains. Its funny because Philadelphia probably has a more illiterate people than the entire state of WV. Also without those coal mines most of the northeast would be without power. there are by census more coal mines in pennsylvania. we closed them down after filling them with west virgian escapees out of a mass humane act.

true there are tons of illiterate people in philadelphia but illeteracy and functional brain dead are two different matters.

west and regular virginia are indeed two seperate areas. virginians call west virginians hillbillies and have burned the "w" off of all their maps.
