If you want to get good costs pricing on Dell machines, look into the Solution Provider Direct channel marketing program. 2-8% of web costs for resellers.
Try Ingram Micro[/url:46ac3]or PC Wholesale[/url:46ac3]for pricing on hardware/software. These are both companies similar to tech data and cdw. In your situation, you probably shouldn't be buying from CDW, as they buy from companies like Insight, Ingram and Techdata and markup accordingly. Essentially you can get CDW's costs. Ingram will blow out Techdata price wise on most networking products and licensing, and they probably have the best supply chain in the VAR industry. PC Wholesale has great prices on hardware and some oddball stuff. Also check Synnex[/url:46ac3] if you're looking for HP equipment.
If you're interested in any of these distributors, I can put you in contact with someone at the company to get an account going for you.
If you want me to run some cost comparisons at my distributors, feel free to send me some skus or part#'s and I'll get you some unit pricing.
Also, if you're having a hard time sourcing or locating something strange, just ask I've probably bought it and can give you some ideas as to where to look.
Best of luck

Our markup on most items is 15%. Our dell systems we get and a pretty decent price right from our dell reps. Most of our pherip. shit we get from another dell rep.
I just went through the steps of quoting out a a server, 2 desktops, additional user licences for some MS software and a few other things 12K rock:
