Might not be any auctions online, theres a rumour floating about that ebay and sony have joined up to stop people being extorted by sad bastards camping outside stores for 2 or 3 days just to get a console to sell it on for 2x the price or more. A load of ps3 auctions for preorders etc have been ripped down by ebay maybe an hour after they first got put online.
As for the "shortage" i think its pretty sad that sony were meant to launch this thing in spring 06, that got changed to november 06 and they can only ship 400,000 to america and 100,000 to japan? oOo:
