Oh shit - forgot my hilarious D80 story. . .so I get the thing this Friday, and am fucking around with it outside at work, just getting used to flipping through the menu, and I let out a fuck, and my pro-photographer co-worker comes up and is like "what" - and I say "I keep underexposing the picture". He grabs the camera and takes a shot, and then tells me I needed to adjust the "white balance" and procedes to adjust the exposure. . .

To appreciate the stupidity of this, the guy uses a D200, has boasted that hes bought a 15K camera years ago, and has a 18-300 2.8lens - yet still manages to take some of the most godawful photos. I've been using these cameras for less than a year sure - and some of my shit aint too hot, but id but 10 of my shots against anything hes done ANYDAY. . .

as for the under/overexposuring - i had bracketing set up, and appearantly it stays on until you turn it off. . .wah wahn -

As for camera buying my habits goes: Craigslist, eBay, and then Buy&Sale Forums. I'll never buy a camera from a Ritz or other franchised shop. But 400 just for the body is cool, although you can get a D50 for that. Check out BHPhoto.com - they should have used models that they need to get rid of since the D40/80/200 are the only models being continued. Everything else is discontinued.
