Humans will never automate themselves out of society. Increased automation will free people to pursue alternative activities. Kind of like tv. A hundred years ago, no one had time to watch tv, so even if it existed, it would be pointless. With more effiecient production (of everything) we had "idle" time to invent, manufacture, and watch tv. Plus there was a whole new industry created just to make programming.

So everyone will program? There will be 6,000,000,000 positions just for programmers? It's like having 1,000 people to design one car, but these days you can have one guys design a car on his own with a computer.
