What that means is they arent moderators of that forum, but that the guys who helped in developement view the forums and the communitys posts. They don't actually moderate like we do. But yes, it still should be changed.

there used to be different moderators there when i first came to the site if i remember correctly

Look, I know the server crashes and "phpBB Critical Error" problems are annoying. I'm sure BS knows of the faults and is hopefully working to rectify the problem. This isnt his number one priority, nor is it mine or anyone elses. This is something we do in our spare time, which recently has been absolutely zero. Give BS a break. He will get the problems ironed out when he gets a chance. Or, if you feel you simply cant stand these problems anymore and they are too much for you too handle.....why dont you just use the "Vet Forum" and stop using this forum until the problems are fixed ?

I will also ask BS about getting rid of the Board of Developers Forum. It is basically wasted space now seeing 2015 are well and truly out of the picture, and the same effect would be had if we just had the General Discussion Forum take over the duties of the BoD Forum. Anyway, things can only (hopefully) get better. I'll see what I can do.

Polaris, my old Master has sadly and well and truly moved on. He went to Medical School did he not ?? I've emailed him a few times but gotten no response. I hope, that whatever he is doing, he is doing extremely well and accomplishing 100% of what he has set out to do. If you're out there Polaris, BEST OF LUCK !!!!

Judging by this you have absolutely fuck all to add in getting a sollution for this forums problems. If you have nothing better to add then dont say anything at all. i've e-mailed badscript suggestions to go about fixing the errors that other members have posted in the past but apparently he never read them

the forum has 335000 posts and nearly 15000 members. if you want to help go do something about the tens of thousands of old posts that are in the database but get the "no posts in this topic exist" error when viewed. those sure as hell can't be helping. there are also 7000 members who haven't posted once, most of them having been here since "1969" and they can't be helping either. but i'm sure you would much rather ban me and hope badscript gets around to fixing things sooner or later. you're an administrator, find the posts from the members who know what they are talking about and do something. sure it will take a lot of work but you have to start somewhere.

i don't recall saying i hate this place perhaps you could find a post where i said that? didn't think so. the reason i'm pissed off is that i love this place and hate to see ERRORS many times i try to view the forum every day. now, how's that for adding to the fucking solution? going to take the initiative or sit back and do nothing? jesus christ wook chill out.

Hey, I am "chilled". I'm just getting sick of people pissing and moaning. I mean, it's like you've got nothing better to do than sit here and post all day and when something goes wrong, it's like the end of the world !!

Believe me, I'm working on it. I'm just as pissed off as the next guy that these errors are happening. It is frustrating, but I simply cant spend hours upon hours sifting through all crap on this forum to get it going again. I dont have the time or the patience right now. I will ofcourse start by suggesting to BS that either myself or him lock up the BoD Forum and delete all posts dating from the start up until....a month ago. Ask him to add the edit button back in. I will also suggest to him that we delete all inactive members and issue single warnings to people who have multiple accounts. They are adding to congestion. I also did state in the rules that people must only and I quote..

i'm not sure how phpbb does it but there should be a pruning option in the control panel, as an admin i assume you know how to use it. best way to get rid of multiple registered accounts is to just ip ban powell, he has like 20 oOo:

Yeah I know about Powell that prick, he will be first to go, along with Founding_Law and his alter-ego "mike_Hunt" and also Coublacka (atleast his million or so other names), and anyone else that has multiple user names and has a tendency to spam or be just complete annoying pricks. Yeah we have the pruning option, but I'm not touching anything without BS's approval, his site, his say so. Wingman is only a Mod, not an Admin, and basically, when he is doing anything, sticks to the news posting side.

Strik0r, not sure if you've messed with phpBB alot, but to delete all of those dead threads, and to purge all the un-used accounts would take a hell of a long time. First, BS would need to shut down the site again, then each one would have to be deleted by hand. Then he would need to reindex the database. It would take 2 - 3 days, tops.

just because something takes a long time doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. christ the thing has gone down 3 times already this morning.
