well the net code IS problematic and I have been assured that the Game will play a LOT better upon final release.I was on a server earlier today and my ping was 23 thru the whole game.we had 24 max players and I am running a 1.2ghz AMD NVidia TNT2 M64 Pro....my FPS's are ALWAYS like 30-50 and the gameplay is REAL smooth.your problem however IS lag,and Lag is caused by MAny factors, the most common being a "weak Link" or a dail-up/bad connect...SOMEONE was either on dail-up or had another program (other than gamespy,as this is unavoidable)running in the background.....I have found that before you start a game,or connect to a game,if you will simply press CTRL+ALT+DELETE
and "end task" all programs except systray and explorer....your ping and FPS will Improve...as you can see my card is NOT the greatest in the world, and I DO have to scale back on the textures and the enhancements, but if EVERYONE will do this you can improve everyone else's online experience.........
