Go Airborne. I had my Airborne infantry contract with Ranger option. 4 year contract. ALL Army contracts are for 10 years of service. 2-6 active then the remainder of that 10 you can be recalled to active duty.

As for you PFC11b. Depending on what time you join you can expect to be fucked at 30th AG reception batallion for a MONTH! Yeah i got stuck there for a month then the half way house for a week or two them finnally was put into training. All that time you cant run only push ups and sit ups. I recommed doing leg lifts, elevated sit ups, turn and bounce's, jumping jacks, (side stradle hop in army lingo), anything weighting 8 pounds you should do arm excercises with. Those are just some good things to have going into basic they will try and break your abs and arms. Running isnt to hard, i was a runner before entering. MARCH... FUCKING MARCH, go get a 30 lbs ruck sack and go speed walk for 4 hours... That is the best thing i can tell you. Everything in basic is easy except the road long road marches. They are speed walks 4mph+ never be the last platoon on a long march you'll get strung out and you'll end up running parts.
