While Mosquito makes some good points, there are some flaws in his little statement... I'll just straightened them for anyone learning from this.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Tahoma, Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>cover all 4 landing zones<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
5 landing zones, 2 American, 2 British, 1 Canadian.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Tahoma, Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>to remember as well that the Americans and Canadians were also fighting up through Italy<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
It was mainly the British and Americans in Italy. Also, it was mainly a British operation (often forgotten). There were also Australian, Canadian, Polish, and Indian forces in significant numbers. It was the Polish flag raised about Monte Cassino, not union jack or the stars and stripes.

Also Aryan isnt really an insult: its actually quite a flattering term to call someone a super human . Hitler believed the Germans to be Aryan, which is where the bad blood comes from.

You said you wanted to correct people on history, just thought I'd help finish the job.
