I dunno man. There's so many factors that affect the soldiers' performance. Morale, cohesion, hunger, artillery/air support, cover, leadership, supply, fatigue battle experience, and training. The Waffen SS training was very rigorous and at the height of the thrid reich's power they were the finest soldiers in the world. Well supplied, well armed, well trained and large in number. If you fought against the same group of guys in late '44 they would most likely be a pushover.
My grandad told me how crazy the WSS were on the eastern front. He told me how a group of about ten of them assaulted a Russian entrenchment dodging gunfire and artillery and didn't lose one guy. He told me that they counted over 90 russian bodies after that little engagement.[/quote:bb2c3]
correct, and in BoB,there were more Americans, and in SPR, they had tanks (including 2 Tigers), about 50 infantry,etc. But they were all defeated by about 15 guys oOo:
