My grandmas brothers were in all the world wars. Funny thing that they were all in the navy. Only story i heard was a story about my great Uncle Alfonso. He was a AA gun feeder on the... Yorktown i think it wuz... They told him never to look up, if he looked up he would run because he would see those Kamikazi pilots comming right for him
Anyway during an attack he looked up, paniced and abandoned his job. When he look back that Kamikazi had slammed right into his post and bout 10 men were killed.. He went nutz after that.
When he came home he never spoke, one time he was sitting on the couch and my grandma heard a plane coming and covered her ears and head, he looked over at her and said " You should have been where i was" and thats the only thing he ever said..
