It depends the configuration of your machine along with all the things you have enabled in the game. I too have a Geforce3 and I set all to max (except options in the advanced panel).

Then yesterday, I found this advanced panel. Set everything to max there also. Serious slow downs were seen after that. So i'll have to find the perfect blend of both.

Both I only have a Classic Athlon 650 w/ 768 MB RAM.
