OK, My speakers have the volume notch at 0. There are no music playing on my comp (windows media, no cd in the cd-rom drive, launch is not on) And yet, I hear MUSIC.
thats right, I hear music coming from my speakers that have the volume down to 0. If I turn it up, it stops. If I plug in headphones, I can't hear it. I tried disconnecting from the net, but it still plays.
If they aren't shielded or are poorly insulated, your speakers may be picking up a radio station. Before we got a Bose system hooked up, we had huge floor speakers and until we took them in to get shielded, they would constantly pick up a local country station. I hate country.

when i was young i started a show of me just throwing a rock and ppl came to watch it lol
Most likely it's because whatever source you're listening to overpowers the radio station signal. With the volume at 0 the other signal has free reign over the speakers.
