It's true, read the liscense agreement. Some companies will let you install the software on more than one machine, but only 1 user can use it at a time (most productivity software uses this kind of agreement), game liscenses however relate to the machine. You purchase a liscense to use the software on 1 and only 1 computer. If you want to install it on more than one, you can usually buy more liscenses, but that would cost as much as buying another copy of the game so it's moot anyway.
