they are fanatical about thier religion... they don't want democracy and capitalism, becuse religion outweighs those ideals in thier minds... they are fighting a different war, and likely don't represent the beliefs of the majority of muslims or iraqis... but continue with a 'war' versus those they deem as infidels, which seems to mean anyone who doesn't agree with them... i kinda think they are sorta crazy...

Berg Time Line

• Dec. 21. Nicholas Berg goes to Iraq to explore business opportunities.

• Feb. 1. After making contact with a company that indicates there likely will be work for him, Berg leaves Iraq.

• March 14. Berg returns to Iraq.

• March 24. Berg tells his parents he is coming home on March 30 to be in a friend's wedding. The same day, he is detained by Iraqi police at a Mosul checkpoint. At some point during his 13-day detention, U.S. officials take custody of him.

• March 30. Berg's father, Michael, goes to John F. Kennedy International Airport, but Berg is not on his scheduled flight.

• March 31. In West Chester, the FBI interviews Michael and Suzanne Berg. A spokesman said the agency was "asked to interview the parents regarding Mr. Berg's purpose in Iraq."

• April 5. The Bergs file suit in federal court in Philadelphia, contending that their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military in Iraq.

• April 6. Nicholas Berg is released.

• April 9. Berg communicates for the last time with his parents, telling them he will come home through Jordan.

• Saturday. Berg's decapitated body is found near a highway in Baghdad.

• Monday. State Department officials notify the Berg family of his death.

• Yesterday. Berg's death is announced.

Yes, they were actually talking about their religion. From my minute knowledge of Arabic, they did say something about sins ruining the Earth. Then as they cut his head, they said, "God (allah) is Supreme"

Like i said before, they don't have the balls to reveal their faces. They know if they did they would be identified and hunted down like dogs and made to pay for thier actions. Cowards. annoy:

Or for safety? If I was in a rebel/milita I would cover my face. Just so that no one can ID me, and possibly hurt my family, etc.

Hmmm, just checked out the full video - after searching forever for it.

And as I said on another forum, I'm kinda underwhelmed by it all. Sure this isnt war, but we are in a serious conflict here, and this kind of shit is to be expected. If Jessica Lynch hadnt escaped this would have no doubt happened to her as well. Its war, there are no rules here. WE abide by rules, they do not. They see no reason to. So no I wont be having nightmares or fucked up stomachs about this - although the images are fairly disturbing, but noone in Washington and noone in the Pentagon even batted an eye when this went down. This isnt some shocking new form of violence. This is the way shit is done. Daniel Pearl should have taught the world that.

Just because they are ready to die, doesnt mean they want to die "foolishly" - and getting caught by Iraqi police or Interpol or the United States would be dieing (is that how u spell it?) foolishly. Not to mention that as hardcore as these guys THINK they are - they have NOTHING on the United States interrogation program. And I fucking mean nothing. These guys would break in a day. So no, exposing yourself on camera would be a pretty dumb ass thing to do especially when you realize that its pretty sure there are CIA agents communicating with others who are no doubt connected to al Qaeda and Baath Party militants.
