It's aslo a good example for how FPS's set before the wide use of automatic weapons can still be fun.
I'm still waiting on a WW1 FPS game.....

Try 'Iron Storm' that is a WW1 game, only slightly differant; not meant to be historically accurate, but teh demo was pretty ok. The sound was pretty awesome from what I remember.
|
Yeah I've seen that - But it's set in the 1960s, it's supposed to be that the war never ended.....So they have all the technology and shit from later decades.
I need a nice WW1 FPS that is as historically accurate as possible.

Me too, but I have wondered about the map possibilities. Trenchwarfare would get old quick.

Lost Battalion game maybe? They weren't restricted to trenches in that film.

That would add a forrst theme, but I think some real creativity would have to be used with the player classes, maps, and artillary ect. to keep from bogging the game down to a free for all trench and tree camp-o-thon..

I think they put the AI on easy int he video to shows the physics off by blowing people up in different ways. Wehn i set it on normal its actully kinda challenging. then their is still the hard level.

If you're looking for a WW1 FPS, I know of one but im not sure it counts. Its called "Iron Storm" its what would have happened if ww1 lasted until the 60's. The game itself was kinda weak in the gameplay departmet but didn't look too bad.
