I know, I'm not the smartest, and I could've gotten this for a lot less, but not as much as you say, not even close. Tell me how this adds up to $1000

DVD-RW External ($200)
CD-RW ($50)

i've read that changing ram timings wont really affect much, if its already around 2-3-3-6. i doubt id see im provment if i changed it just a bit. i already see great performace. i dont think i'd want to change it anyway.
Whats it gonna do?Blow up?Hell no..No ram has ever died by having its timings changed.
No, but if the system fails to boot, you'll get annoyed quickly enough. The
point is: unless you know the timings your RAM supports, don't fuck around
unless you like resetting your BIOS. 2-3-3-6 is fine...

Resetting the whole bios takes like 2 minutes(removing cmos bat and and moving the jumper and then pumping your settings back into the BIOS)
Yeah, and it's an annoyance if you're unsure of which settings will work with
your particular component. My point still stands: leave the timings at JEDEC
SPD values.
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Asus K8V motherboard.
512 MB Corsair XMS RAM PC3200 with Heat Spreader.
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 MB.
80 Gig Western Digital Hard Drive.
52x CD burner.
ATX case
700 bucks, same thing as an alienware can do.
i had almost the same as that, but it ran not even HALF as good. for one, fx-53 will out perform the 3000+, and you dont actually think 512mb of ram can compete with 1gig+? i have a dvd-rom, external dvd-rw, double the hdd space...so tell me..how are they the same?
ROFL... FX-53 is better than a 3000+ but it's not twice as good. Not even 50% better, yet is costs over 200% more.
