There is a [url=http://my.opera.com/Junyor/journal/26:860ab]work around[/url:860ab] if you're using 7.5 or the 7.6 beta. It's a bit cumbersome, and "buggy", but some people get it to work no problemo.

Edit: Gmail works perfectly with the 7.6 beta, you don't need to do all that shit in the link above.
