The belief that a tax on the top 2% will only affect the top 2% is short sighted. Is anyone her old enough to remember the luxury tax that they put on high ticket boats etc? It was designed to get more money from "the top 2%". Instead it pushed the cost of luxurt boats up just enough that sales of those boats dropped forcing the builders to lay off hundreds of workers. So the big "tax the rich" scheme denied a few borderline wealthy folks a fancy boat but cost alot of middle class workers their jobs. The moral of the story is that all sectors are connected. Any negative impact on one negatively impacts all.
