hmmm, i agree 110%

i hate a crappy ai... and i think its great when the npc's etc have a whole range of motions and langage/dialoge(sp)

i just hate it when you shoot someone and hear "my leg" then you run into ... say 3 guys, shoot them in the leg one after the other and hear the same exact voice and line saying "my leg my leg my leg"
it sounds really gay.....

i mean this is all about space... it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have a different voice etc etc for every character.... but they its something to strive for!
maybe you could make a little program that determines the character and generates a new voice with slightly alterered bass and pitch and such.
and i would love to see a "smart" engine that can (in real time) produce intelligent sentences on the spot.... for instance, you shoot one guy... "ahhh *gurgle*"
you shoot the next guy.. and the program generates a new voice for him on the spot... and then generates a new death sound or pain sound depending on the variables given and the assorted sentence peices available

THAT would blow people away

hehe... a little late to be suggesting this..
but meh

oh and btw, holycrap man you swear AN awfull lot!!!
hehe even more then me!!!
