I'm taking it you haven't seen the movie?
as kapko warned im a huge comic nerd (well used to be)...Frank Miller's story-telling is bar none the best (fuck Gaiman; met the guy at the Princess Mononoke QA and he is an emo prick; Alan Moore is good though just not recently). The only and one and only reason I saw the movie when it premiered at the historic Senator Theatre (http://www.senator.com/) is he helped make the film and had a say in what went on.. Mickey Rourke as Marv was spot on...Alba should NOT have been in the fucking film, but they needed something to satisy the backers of the film and draw in the 16-20something constantly stroking it crowd. Read hte graphic novels and compare the two....you cant!

-Bottom line is read/rent/steal the Graphic Novels and see what FM was really after....then go read 300
AS far as the other characters went, did Willis, Owen, Nick Stahl, and the other actors look/ act like they did in the books?
