Most of the Iraqi insurgents seem to be Sunni, who have been stockpiling weapons forever. They don't need shipments of weapons from Iran or Syria. In case you haven't noticed the different factions are now fighting among themselves as much as they are fighting the OCCUPATION FORCES.
It's true that if the occupation forces were to leave Iraq tommorow, there would be a civil war. that doesn't matter much though as there will be a civil war in Iraq whenever we leave.
