I sometimes work in the down town Seattle area, notorious for its lack of parking, let alone free parking. Well i started a job down there and i of course scour the area for free parking since $50 - $70 a week or $180 a month is a bit steep just to show up to work, for a year or two. I find some side roads that have gaps in the signs and are perfectly legal. Then the fucking major decides he wants people to take the bus more, so he installs payed parking in all area that were free. So im stuck at metered parking for the remainder of my job since most parking garages are A: expensive, B:full from other people on the project, or C: full from people on the 205839 projects.

I since learned that meter maids are motherfucking psyhic ninjas. You could pay for the two hour maximum twice and walk out to pay the third time and bam ticket outta fuckin no where. Check the time, 3 - 5 minutes after it expired, im only late by like 7. Check the area, nothing, no signs, and no one saw them. Needless to say, by the time i left the job i owed or had paid, something like 300+ in parking fines. Sadly that is still less than it would have cost to park in a garage for the same period of time.

My favorite was when i had paid and they ticketed me anyway.

Dude, you're telling me you don't know the trick? Just stick an old ticket under your wiper and they'll think you got slammed already.....lol

Oh, and if you're in NYC, just place a brown paper M&M wrapper on your dash and you're good to go. The "M"eter "M"aids here wear "brown" so they think it's one of them and won't ticket you. Just don't park in a "Police Only" spot.....they tend to get pissed....lol
I did that once and they were yelling at me as i went to my car. They had a tow on the way but i beat the truck....lmao. I had to pay a $90 ticket but i lol'd in their faces because they were so pissed off. Best $90 i ever spent.

Oh no, they just ticket you twice. If we got ticketed we just said fuck paying for the rest of the day. Nope, they came back and issued a second ticket. Its a loop hole to the double jeopardy of being prossicuted for the same crime twice. That they say you exceeded the time limit of two hours, and for the second ticket they say the meter hadnt been paid. Its the same fucking thing, but are classified as two differant types of parking violation. Since some areas arnt metered they just have time limits, but meters with a posted limit are a double whammy. I was well beyond pissed that day, $70 for one day of parking.

Also as a side note, if i had tried the leave an old ticket, they actually did open up the tickets and look and it never worked. Infact since we worked there the ticket was likly from the day before, and you would get a bigger fine as they think you just didnt move. Eventually they even started recognizing our cars and were quite ruthless when it came to timing them to be ticketed. Its not like we were doing anything wrong or getting angry with them, we were often very nice to them, but they knew that we had to park there, and that we couldnt always baby sit our cars.

Well parking without feeding the meter isnt a criminal offense, therefore wouldnt fall under the double jeopardy rule

At work, ive written a handful of cites for students who refuse to move their vehicle while they are away on vacation or whatever, one for everyday the vehicle doesnt move. There was one car that had about 8 combined from myself and others i work with - I just lined them up all across the windshield

I'd like to see how they would give me a ticket in the truck......i took the wiper arms off a few years back. Fuckers would have to use tape to secure the ticket.....lol

Probably just write you a second ticket for not having wipers. Then when the wind blew them away and you failed to pay they'ed suspend your license and you'd get pulled over for a bad tail light and get 10 - 15 years in jail because the legal system is a joke.

Make sure your doors are locked, ive opened doors and then closed them with the ticket in the door
