West 49 is a skateboard company in "Western" Canada, north of the 49th parallel. Thus the name West 49, and people outside of Western Canada will not know what your talking about.

That would be the one I suggested, it's about $30 cheaper than the pro tec, and it's exactly the same as the ones worn by Delta in BHD.

I've got a helmet like that, diffrent brand, but it looks exactly like that, and it was half the price of the Pro Tec helmets. I got mine at Sportmart, check there.[/quote:fa314]

Okay, just checked mine, it's by Louis Garneau, it's called "The Street", and it looks EXACTLY like the Delta Pro Tecs[/quote:fa314]

No, it's Pro Tec, and just a note, the gear worn by the delta boys in BHD is not the gear the real delta guys wore in Somolia, they acctully wore full cut pro tecs, and Ranger body armour, not the half-cut pro tecs and SEAL body armour that they wear in the movie.

Don't the D-boys use a kevlar shell instead of plastic?

Are you sure?

I would highly doubt they would go into combat without a kevlar helmet. The helmet I was issued is Kevlar. Before that they were steel an didn't stop bullets. The kevlar ones are "bulet resistent".

some of em got killed by a gunshot thru the helmet, that is no question... but seeing how the D-boys were cocky and liked to be all cool, they probably felt that they didnt need kevlar in thier helmets

I don't think about 5mm of kevlar would stop an AK round.
