I wouldnt say he mostly deals with other beats. Most are all his own, with minor sampling. Some are more "remixes" or old stuff, but he makes it work. IMO hes a very talented producer and he is really helping bring in names like mos def and talib to the average persons music library.

I like it...nothing wrong with paroding a song...it isn't a cover or anything that ruins it.

You said you liked kanye before... Now you don't like him....
HAH. I highly doubt that bullshit.

Find a quote of me saying that...

It was on irc, you said you enjoyed a good amount of his stuff, you also started talking about how you enjoyed K-OS as well. I still remember pretty clearly. THis was back even before the All Falls Down single became a hit. I wish I had a log of everything ever said in IRC.....[/quote:2ea25]

I call bullshit. Why you care about my opinions so much is kinda weird....and also, EVEN IF I did say I kinda liked him (which I didn't) It would be totally valid to change my opinion after like two years and an album/single released....

He makes money off of "remixes" and redone versions of other peoples songs - That's what I don't like, and he does it often.....but that's just a pet peeve, I REALLY don't like his beats that he makes on his own. Seriously makes me wonder how he became famous - Then I look at who else is famous in hiphop, and it makes sense to me.

Mos Def and Talib become alternative commercial hiphop acts on their own, they don't need help - There are plenty more acts out there he could "help" he just rode their boat to cash in on that alternative scene....and besides - As much as I've always liked Talib & Mos, I have to say their careers in music have gone haywire recently, and I think they're going to shit. Mos is making it as an actor (which is all good), and The New Danger simply sucked. There wasn't one good track on there. Meanwhile Talib's latest stuff is just like Kanye's bullshit in terms of production - Sped up voices singing the hooks to shitty synth beats with maybe one live string instrument....

....There are far better producers out there with new emcees that are what mos and talib were five years ago, I suggest you expand your tastes and you'll see for yourself - There's more to hiphop than what you get shown on mtv, even if your friends tell you "its underground"...

I'm the wrong person to go into hip-hop with... I'm almost positive I listen to more stuff than you do, obviously alot more than you think I do. Its hard to know underground US hip-hop when you arent even from here wouldnt ya think oOo: ...not everything makes its way to kazaa. I've been to more shows at first ave and seventh street entry (big midwest underground stops) than I'd like to admit. Beats have genres of their own... and for what kanye produces, hes good at it IMO. With your logic, tribes beats, often made up of strictly sampled hits and a bassline, should be ridiculed aswell...

LOOOOOL.

Check out my playlist:

[url:fd4af]http://www.groundforce1.com/staffs/tonymontana/uploads/PLAYLIST3000.html[/url:fd4af]

I've been listening to hiphop since as long as I can remember. Seriously...You really don't know shit here clearly.

Oh and Tribe's beats were constructed. I've been refering to REMIXED beats. Totally different ballgame. If you were nearly as into hiphop as you claim, you should know that.

P.S - Don't pull that domestic-only bullshit. I bet you haven't even been to one hiphop concert in your life.....I've seen some of the greatest acts out of the genre live....De La Soul (Whom I also met), The Roots, Gang Starr, Jazzy Jeff, People Under The Stairs, Blackalicious.....Believe me, living in New Zealand doesn't make me miss out on anything.

Still positive you listen to more than me?

That photo IS supposed to be funny just incase you didnt get it, I'm not tyring to be serious here. The "white guy trying to rap" is kind of the point of the whole thing, it is supposed to sound very white and stupid biggrin: Again, this was just something I was messing with in the afternoon when I wasnt on a work schedule yet, now that I am, I'm sorry to say I wont be able to drop many bombs until I get some days off loney:
