Anyone else get the feeling that butcher really wants some props for his map-making skills?

just because you like to add giant grapics and all the other stuff to your posts,,,making the page longer to display dont make you an authority on how it ougta be...BUTCHER[/quote:7284f]

Where do I have graphics in my post????? Man, your attention to detail is to low to be making maps. If you don't have anything productive to add, just go away. Seems like your just that person who likes to contradict people (no matter what they say) and start arguments.

[quote:7284f]Butcher an IP most of the time can not be changed and the types of connections that change IPs everday can be banned because they only change a few numbers at the end of the ip and you can set it up so it bans them any way (I dont know the specifics in this)
[/quote:7284f]

Correct, what you are reffering to is called an IP range. A computer with a cable or DSL connection connects to a local HUB. That hub has a certain IP range. Yes, the guy could just resset his modem and re-connect but if he is banned everytime, eventualy his whole IP range will be banned. And that is alot of trouble, for someone as small minded as TKers are, to go through just to mess with a specific serer. Most of the time they will just move on.

Default Blocked IPs - 08-21-2002, 04:17 PM

I have seen one person do this and its obvious in
the Auto-Kick logs. It only takes a single click to
ban an IP. So the dumb ass will have access
to only a few IPs through his broadband connection

Well... all of them get BANNED in a matter of minutes
and all of them get sent to all the other admins
and the IDIOT cant play on any of the good servers

This Butcher guy is a real jerk... plain and simple

Default Your IP - 08-21-2002, 04:40 PM

Go ahead - try it... see how many IPs are available to
you with that system. You will find you only have
access to a few

Then come on the =[DOA]= server, act like you do here

First Butcher, depending on the lease your broadband provider gives you. You can not release your IP that easily. And even if you do. The logs will show your many different names with the same subnet. This would tell me that your trying to release your IP and pull a fast one.

Players with a cable connection can't release there IPs that easily. People with DSL can. But are easily tracked and banned.

Like BB said. It's easier for me to click on your name and ban you (via autokick ) then for you to pull up a dos prompt and release renew.

It's much easier for me to ban a person using DSL then for them to reset there DSL modem.

Now we can all admit this plan is not fool proof on both sides, but guess what. It's a start and if we can cut 50% of the childish behavior from this game. Then I'm in.

I have already posted my support for Ballbuster and the AA. I bet Punkbuster started out the same. very small , only making baby steps in the right direction. But now look at that program and what it has done for the games it supports.

There will be plenty of servers out there ( at first ) who do not wish to participate. but the people that I want playing on my server will have a very good time playing this great game called MOH.

Hey Ballbuster,

I will be speaking with my server host tonight, and I will have him E-Mail me our Sh*t list. When I get it I will send it to you, and anyone else here who wants it.

Sounds like a great idea, but I think you really need to be carefull about the way it is implemented. Maybe requiring submitting admins to present some kind of proof, like screenshots of negative kill scores, etc.. I could definitely see problems developing if a lot of servers are involved. I would hate to be the person who gets banned from all of the good servers because someone mistakenly thought I was cheating. Maybe you would only put someone on the banned list if they were reported by multiple different servers. I think some kind of appeal system would also be a good idea. Great idea, just thought I would put my 2 cents in.
