Believe me it doesn't may everyone happy. But in America..the war machine means big money for a few..creates jobs for a few more... the senators & congressmen know it they want votes people have to have jobs, even if its a porkbarrel miltary project. And if the politicians want more money for the campaigns the need to make sure that the few are lining their pockets... As for as Bush being a Warmonger, that's funny, he's to busy creating a environment of hate in the world so the defense budget can be justified to actually start a war.

You can't blame Bush for creating the hate. He just perpetuates it!

Think about it, if we became became serious about space exploration. The amount of jobs created would be endless.

But how much money will it take to get serious about space exploration.

To get serious, you will need to definitley find an alternative source of power for getting places. The space shuttles and not efficient in the financial area.

Space exploration now is very expensive. Until newer and cheaper technology is avaliable, exploration at this time is a little out of the question.

Good questions. It would take alot of money, but the benefits would be huge in the long run.... Oops I forgot who cares about the long run..

Now all they need to do is screw NMD,
put Tomcat back in production,
and cancel the tax cut on the major corporations (they don't deserve a tax cut) so that education doesn't suffer.
Then I'll have the utmost respect for the President.

[quote="Founding_Law":56fa8]If you have the money why not spend it. most every country hates us so we most be prepared. who knows when canada will burn our capital again.lol[/quote:56fa8]
I would rather see the money being sent to SCHOOLS other than the military. I hoping that you at least realize the conditions of various school in America, expecially urban schools.

Also, we don't really have the money. Military spending is one of the ways Regan ran up the deficit so high in the first place.
