You dont seem to understand what airsoft is. A real gun isnt comparable to airsoft. Just as a real gun isnt comparable to paintball. Airsoft is simply a more realiastic paintball, there is nothing like getting 60 guys out to a nice farm property with ravines, barns, bunkers, etc.. and fight for control over specific buildings with harmless bbs that can shoot accuratly out to hundreds of feet, snipers being able to shoot much further. The sport is NOTHING like plinking around at the range with a real gun. Granted I quit a few years ago, but I do miss it.

Well its different in the sense they shoot accurately up to a few hundred feet in a calm wind. This is accomplished through what is called a "hop-up" system which puts backspin on the bbs as they leave the barrel which makes them fly straight even as they slow down, this is also adjustable for the weight of the BBs you're using. The bbs dont leave marks or anything, the "hit system" is basically an honor system, if you get hit, you call youself hit, you can feel it 99% of the time. I've paintballed and airsoft, for the overall experience, paintball comes nowhere near airsoft.

I was just at wally world and I saw some shitty airsoft guns. One was laser piss yellow(best way I could describe the collor) and see through. It was some futureistic gun that held 1,000 round. It looked interesting but i wouldnt buy that. They also had a crappy m4. Im thinking maybe Ill get one of those to fuck around with until I get some money for a good gun. This seems a lot more interesting and A LOT cheaper than paintball.
Im also gonna hit up an army surplus store tomorrow and see if they have anything. Id love ot get some friends hooked on this and play up north, or on school property rock: That would kick ass.

I used to know a kid, a neighbor, in California who would shoot crows and stuff with these things. I liked him a bunch, but he turned into a fucking sicko when he picked these things up.

Don't own one, dont plan to
