I don't know.... We have Waitangi Day. - That's about the closest thing, but it doesn't really have anything to do with independence - It's about a treaty between the indigenous Maori and European Settlers....

We slowly gained independence step by step, we never fought off the British. We still have ties with England anyway. The Crown still has some authority.....But it's good because we're a fairly small country.
