i find that to be bullshit.

Can't imagine why. There was a case - and it could very well be an urban myth - about a guy trapped in a Train-Freezer. He thought he was gonna freeze to death, and he did.
When he was found, turned out the in room temperature was not at "freezing" degrees, and the mans hurt still quit on itself.
It's not THAT far fethced to think that the brain can send impulses to the rest of your body based on what it THINKS is going on.

That's interesting.
Maybe oneday in the future, when scientests get a grip on this subject, we could kill ourselves by just thinking about it.[/quote
you could be the first. give it a try.

sometimes in those cases (scuba man) your mind can trick your body... not really control it but trick you. in the heat of the moment u can easily panic, causing you to DIE or get HURT. i think the guy saw his gauge was at 0, and went into some kinda shock or panic.. causing him to freak out and think he was out of air. then he DIED and got HURT.

I remember when i was like in 3rd grade i would always be able to know what people were going to say. I was like phycic for a few days biggrin:
I remember the teacher was talking about what she likes and i would be telling this one girl exactly wheat the teacher was about to say before she said it. Like i remember the teacher was saying what her favorite food was and i said baseball stadium hotdogs. And thats what it was! biggrin: It went on like that for a couple of days but i was so young i didnt notice how wierd it was. Now that i look back im just like ed:
Also one of my friends said that when he used to um, when he smoked some stuff ( biggrin: ) he saw his grandfathers death before it happened and he would always be able to tell the exact groceries his mom would bring before she would get home. I think our mind somewhere deep in there already knows what is to come. Somehow freak:

Like I said in the time travel post, we are only beginning to find out what makes the universe tick.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stargates and hyperspace travel are possible

I have also had strange premonitions about events and sometimes in class I can tell what the instructor/professor is about to say and then it feels like deja vu, but I know for a fact that whatever I heard was not discussed before

He probably just held his breath thinking that his tank was empty. Not so much mind over matter as it is faulty equipment triking the poor bastard.
