I'm reminded of a poster I have in my room.
A quote from the great Carl Sagan:

" Look at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors, so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light.
Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

ok.ok
I used to think all that - a few years ago i decided - i believe in 'something' that i dont know anything about, never seen, never met. No EVIDENCE has been proved about the 'god' story but evidence has been discovered about our evolution from a monkey.
Why should i worship something that hasnt actually done anything for me. People say he made me - bullshit - my parents made me. I couldnt worship something that i dont even know is real. In my past years - when i needed 'god' the most - he never gave a sign or any comfort so why the hell does he expect me to waste my whole life doing all the shitty stuff he wants.
The big bang is much more believable than a god.

I love you.
Science is the key behind everything. God is merley something written in a book. Religion is ideas and thaughts that people follow. Our parents make us, the big bang was science, and evolution is science. I cant beleive that a 'spirit' made everything. Thats bullshit

The Big Bang is a theory, but it should be widely accepted as a rule. Cosmic radiation left behind from the rapid expansion and explosion of the universe can be easily detected above earths atmosphere.
It is very hard to deny that neanderthals once walked the earth, along with MANY other species of upright walking men who could build fires weapons tools and learn a language.
Oh and that article didn't say we evolved from that mini me, it was just another species. Truly, today we could be walking around with another form of human, if they had not died out during the ice age or some other time like the neanderthals, or other species. We survived the ice age.
You know, the RC Church 400 years ago believed the heavens were perfect. All objects orbited in perfect circular orbits. And there were 7 objects in our solar system, one for every day the earth was created. The Earth, the Moon, the Sun, and 4 planets. Well, along came this guy named Gallileo Galeli and he said there were 4 moons orbiting around Jupiter. Why this couldn't be true, the church said, because that would make 11 objects.
Guess what? The church was wrong then, and wrong countless other times, along with thousands of other religions. What makes them right about creation? You've all heard of Occams razor probably from the movie contact. It comes into play here. Would you believe something with no proof, and that can never be proven unless God actually puts on a demonstration at a science fair, or something that can be generally accepted because it is simple, explanitory and believable?

Anyone that doesn't believe in, or at least takes concideration in, Darwin's Theory of Evolution is retarded. Hell, a lot of Protestants believe in Evolution.

Big bang I think IMO is a little over the top..But in scientific terms its true but in alot of peoples beliefs, its true.
