The issue is what she did, not why she did it. She's allowed to protest war, just like anyone under a government that supports free speech. Difference is, she went about it totally the wrong way. The soldiers who had no control over which war they fight had to put up with her shit, but the real decision makers didn't.

Basically under the logic you're suggesting, it's okay beating up a cop because he enforced a law set by the government.....

It's fucked up because the cop is just doing his job, following orders. He didn't make the law. Regardless of whether he agrees with it or not, he has to do it.
