They need a couple good defensive backs and WRs first. Maybe some OL help too. I agree though, the Giants can be a very decent team in a few years.
Edit: If anyone was curious ...

FUCK, Dolphins traded CB Patrick Surtain to the Chiefs for a lousy 2nd round draft pick. 25 Interceptions in 3 years, leading all NFL Cornerbacks.

Chiefs needed some DBs, so it doesn't suprise me much. 2nd Round isn't bad though, especially this year. A lot of potential sleepers/under the radar players. A lot of great players aka sleepers ( for example Tom Brady ) have gone 4th and 6th so I wouldn't worry about it. Every pick in the NFL Draft is usually worth it.
In other words, I don't see Miami having a problem replacing Surtain, even though those are big shoes to fill.

Three Dumbest One-Sided Trades So Far:
Raiders - Texans: CB Buchanon goes for a 2nd Round Pick
Vikings - Raiders: WR Moss goes for 1st Round Pick and MLB Harris
Dolphins - Chiefs: CB Surtain goes for a 2nd Round Pick
I would honestly flip out if my team gave away a Pro-Bowl player for practically nothing. But as long as my team (Cowboys) keeps signing immovable (Testeverde and Bledsoe) and baseball-playing (Carter, Hutchinson, Henson) QB's, I will always be mad. Hopefully, Dallas will redeem themselves by drafting Derrick Johnson over Merriman and Ware with the 11th pick.

Yet when they played the teams with defense [spurs ie.] they got fucked out of their mind. They are going to meet teams like that in the playoffs. Good defensive teams.
Tony, when you posted that, I nearly punched a whole through the wall. Surtain is worth much much more than that. God damn horseshit.

You kidding about the Vikings and Raiders trade? Vikings needed to get that guy off there hands. He brought the team down what kind of player walks off the field during the game cause he thinks they are going to lose? He's been fined plenty of times etc. And it was a smart move cause you dont mold your team around a WR, they need to mold the team around there QB or something else.

he maybe a bad teammate , but randy moss has some serious skills . look what he did to green bay and he was playing on one leg .. whats that smell ?? thats al harris getting burned by someone that couldnt even walk . i would hope the dolphins would take a QB since jay fielder looks like a mouse and A.J. freely just plain sucks , as for basketball i watch it anymore , just a bunch of wannabe thugs playing the sport these days , basketball died when the BULLS got split up . i would have loved to see the great bulls teams play shaq and kobe's laker teams

Heh, the Bears aren't much of an improvement in the winner department, but hey I'm a Cowboys and Texas Rangers (baseball) fan, and they both haven't been doing too well lately.
Somebody on ESPN was talking about Mike Williams being the best player in the draft this year. The Vikings wer counting on getting him but he did so well in the Combine, he's probably going to go higher than Minnesota's pick.
As for the Smith/Rodgers comparison, Smith has a much better chance of succeeding in the NFL. I don't see Rodgers as being an impact player in the NFL, and I would pass him over for somebody else. You can tell who's got the NFL skills in college and who doesn't, even if they are great in college. I'd be suprised if Jason White (Oklahoma) ever does well in the NFL, and he was a Heisman runner-up this past year. I'm sure San Francisco is crying right now, because they were really hoping on getting Leinart, who's miles ahead of Smith or Rodgers.
