well as a group that helps out the community, in other occasions they destroy the community by wasting police time if a party gets out of hand, etc. i dunno they could be great if they were more responsible

Again, I see where you're coming from. I know most of the time the only thing that the public hears about greek life are the parties to which the polce had to get involved. I know my fraternity is completly responsible for everything that we run, including parties and other public events. We have designated drivers out the ass whenever we throw parties, in addition to free good beer, constant supervision over the party for those running it. The only incident that we've had thus far in our 4 year existance is someone punching a hole in a drywall wall who wasn't even from our party (just having a bad day) and campus safety had to come breakup our party since it seemed like we would of been the problem.
If you actually go to a fraternity party, I'm almost positive that they're very mature and responsible about running the party and the last thing they want to happen is someone to get hurt. I'm also certain that there are people out there who waste police time even though they're not involved in any groups. I think that can go for just about anybody who may of screwed up somewhere along the line.
And no Ninty9, never even heard of it.

Well, this is my first year in college so I don't think I'm expected to know everything about the area. I'm originally from Connecticut and no, I just never heard of the Nighthawks.

You're missing out. Though you'll have to wait for next year. The Nighthawks lost to toronto last friday in the conference finals.

Their pretty good. They beat buffalo to advance to the semis against toronto. if they had beaten toronto, they'd be in the final against the western champions.
look for them next year. go to a game. it's great, and the teams can use as much support as they can get. it's good entertainment. Lots of goals hits and excitement.

I have bunch of friends in frats but i'd never join one. I rather not have the stigma of being in an organization that will dampen my street cred. cool:

Ive gone to a frat party, more of a social after a tournament hosted by a frat. I do have to say they are responsible. They gated off the yard and made a simple entrance. They carded us and if you were under 21 you got a mark on your hand...as did those over 21. Then they gave us all cups and beer. That party went through 6 kegs in about an hour.
