Scratch that, anyway, still a good pickup. Amonte scores more points that Gelinas. Good replacement at a great price.

Hours after losing Martin Gelinas, the Calgary Flames have added some scoring punch.
The team signed unrestricted free agent forwards Tony Amonte and Darren McCarty.
Amonte signed a two-year contract at $1.8 million per season. McCarty also signed a two-year deal for $1.6 million ($800,000 per season).
Amonte had his contract bought out by the Philadelphia Flyers last week.
In 14 seasons with New York, Chicago, Phoenix and Philadelphia, Amonte had 392 goals and 436 assists in the regular season; he added 20 goals and 31 assists in 86 playoff games.
McCarty, had spent his entire 11-year career with Detroit won three Stanley Cups with the Wings and scored the winning goal against Philadelphia in 1997.[/quote:f38dc]
