Offtopic, but I can't sleep unless there is some kind of noise going on... PC fans almost aren't enough. I need a movie or music or something to put me to sleep.
Anyway, I always leave my machine on.

I feel the same way....I usually chuck the TV on with a DVD and put it on sleep timer to go off after like an hour and a half...

leave it on if im Dling something
I USE to turn it off when I wasnt using it for a long period of time, Now I just hot The sleep key on my keyboard and It shuts down the PC, fans and everything, but is still technically on, it's just using the minimal amount of power needed, then when I come home, I just hit the power button and everything comes back on the way I left it
Its kinda like shutting it off, only when you turn it on, you dont gotta wait through the boot screen.
