say you have 5 windows open at once all on the desktop and you want to quickly open a finder ( my comp ), you sling all that shit into a window , leaving you with a clean desk ( kind of like state saving ), open the finder , browser , or wtf ever do whatever, the clik that box and youre back where you were before ... its pretty awesome actually.

Its fucking amazing, I hit that button and everything minimize right to a nice clean desktop. I can then open whatever I want and then click the button again and HOLY FUCKING SHIT EVERYTHING REAPPEARS BACK TO HIS PREVIOUS SIZE

it doesnt work the same at all ... use it then open a window ... then when you click again it just minimizes all the windows again and you only get the active window back ...

the mac box thing leaves the desktop as it was before you ran it and no matter what you do you get the desktop back exactly as before. you can leave that shit there for hours ( the box ) , come back and restore it to whatevers caught in that box.

showdesktop only works for the windows you used it on( the active ) .. if you do something else (open a browser / my comp ) that window becomes the active and you can only control it being or not being on the desktop. to get the windows back you have to click on the task.

no gerv / window d does what i described above.

: i wish i had some way of capture it to demo , its pretty damn neat. it will actually let you catch in multiple sessions of opening windows ... so each time i activate it it adds windows to the box ...

Manage up to four desktops from the Windows taskbar with this PowerToy.

i wont deny that theres a lot of gay about a mac ... alot, but i enjoy using it. i seriously dont understand how not allowing compatibility helps them at all and they seem to love raping their customers with upgrades more than microsoft. they are way over priced in comparasion but seem to perform about as well as pcs. i dunno what the switch to the intel chips will do for them and running software on both platforms. i know id be a shit load happier if i could run xp shit on mine.

ill probably buy a mac desktop in the near future.
