ok dude 0-60 in 5 seconds is slow.
I'm sure they are running the SRT8 version that does indeed do 0-60 in 5 flat. Plus im sure they will be modified, the Crown Vics are.

Vics arent as modified as you think. Theres no 'cop chip' or supercharged cruisers. They mainly just have a beefed up frame, beefed up oil & tranny coolers, higher rated tires. They arent much different from a civilian version.
The Chargers come with two engine options for the police, the 5.7 V8 Hemi which i think is pushing 350+ HP, and the stock V6 which makes 260HP.

I know someone that used to be. He told me the police put thousands of pounds worth of modifications into police vehicles. He used to drive a modified [url=http://members.fortunecity.com/maccopper/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/galaxy_copy.jpg:e8890]Ford Galaxy[/url:e8890] it pushed 140mph and could corner like a sports car.

Its not a Crown Vic, but a Chevy Caprice. Came stock with a 5.7 350 LT1 V8,pushing 260Hp, which was incredible back in 1994, and i get asked all the time whether it has the 'cop motor', or the 'police chip' wallbash:
Its the same motor that was available in the Civilan version. Same goes for the Fords. I know that Chevy just put the reinforced frame, external coolers, bigger brakes, and the like. But nothing to increase the power to huge amounts.
They also do stuff to help the handling

According to the Michigan State Police the 5.7L Charger ran 0-60 in 6.52 - Which compared to 8.2 For the Crown Victoria, and 8.9 For the Chevy Impala - Is very respectable.

yeah other high end cars, most police pursuits you see, how many of them are racing 5 second 0-60 cars? not to many.
And the new Chargers will do it in 5
