EA isn't at fault, it's the fucking idiots who buy their shitty product knowing full well EA has a history of fucking over the gamers and never accually fixing problems.
Nope, battlefield 1942 had a shitload of support from dice and ea, patches introduced new maps and vehicles whereas with battlefield 2 theyre selling these patches as booster packs. Bf1942 never had all that many problems to begin with but it looked like EA had turned a new leaf with that game.

BF2 had a bunch of bad ideas in it from the start, took a few patches to get out the bunny hopping and the spawn on the squad leader bullshit which did nothing but open up endless spam attacks on areas if the squad leader found a good hiding spot. The big problem with this game is they obviously knew about all these issues from before the game shipped, i dunno why they never got removed.

BF2142 COULD be good if they take some lessons from bf2 and don't go in the wrong direction with it. If ea had any type of clue at all they'd release a public multiplayer beta of bf2142 with maybe 2 maps and then all the bad shit could get tweaked or removed before the final game ships, but thats not gonna happen. they gonna rely on their "internal testers" (who are probably the same people who let bf2 ship in the sorry ass state it was originally in) and its probably gonna be another cluster fuck of patches for 2142.

Maybe 2142 will be a suprise and have all the retarded shit removed, who knows though. loney:

Best is only measured in nostalgia and popularity not actually substance.

You can think what you want, but the fact is, this game has tons of players who think it's a great game and play it religiously. These players play despite the glitches and bugs everyone talks about, which means that the game at its core must be a really good game and still worth playing. So basically, EA has little reason to give a shit what the naysayers think.

alot of times people bitch just to see if they can still speak. The game is good, it has a ton of people playing it, myself included. A patch every so often isnt that bad a thing
