All you people who complain about getting rifled and MGed from across the map should keep in mind that no map is longer than 200-300 meters.

The StG is the predecessor of ARs like the M-16 and AK series, with these weapons target practice between 200 and 500 meters is standard operating procedure.

The BAR is an MG, machineguns are effective against point targets (aiming at one guy and killing him) out to 700 meters and effective against area targets (spray and pray against a many advancing enemies) to 1000 meters.

At 200meters the only advantage a sniper has over a MG or rifle is that the sniper can zoom in and see an enemy better.
