thats not how it should be. it isnt always the majority rule here as in 50/50. thats why it takes 2/3 approval for some votes to pass. the constitution also exists to protect the small from being oppressed by the many. this also isnt some kind of social statement like smoking pot and voting on american idol, these are civil liberties. doesnt matter if 99.9% of people want gay marriages to be banned. the fact is a significant minority of our citizens are being denied a right all citizens are entitled to.

yeah, technically the fate of the whole country when it comes to issues can ride on 4 people's shoulders....supreme justices.

If I was president, I would wear a Kool-Aid guy costume to all my board meetings, and National Addresses.

You have much faith in governments....what I'm saying is that the government obviously does not tell the truth...and I'm not pointing my finger at the American government, any government in the world. Set up a democratic paper in which everyone has equal say without a strong left or right wing bias... nag:

Sounds a lot like nazi Germany
1) Fix taxes to a graduated tax system that works
2) Fix electoral college
3) Fix the education system - don't just teach the good things america has done. Also more philosphy and art classes required.
4) Once and for all, remove church and state
5) Less lying, tell the people if something is wrong (don't sugar coat)
6) Take more feedback from the people (not just voting)

the military service statement has supposed to come across like they do in israel, or if you want a goverment job you had to serve in the military.
the gay marriage statement is about par with peoples opinions , there are very few states that accept gay marriages
sealing the borders helps the economy and promotes a good living standard in america

If I were prime minister/president I'd make it legal to be nude in public, so long as you are break dancing.
1.) Pass civil union bill
2.) Tighter gun laws based on background checks, identification, etc....I wouldn't change any laws regarding gun calibre, automatic or not, etc - Just make sure the people who have them aren't dangerous people.
3.) No bullshit, no lies.
4.) Split the police force in two, and have one section deal with violent crimes, serious offences, felonies, etc and the other half petty crimes, and less serious offences....
...Kinda off the top of my head, and I'm not really thinking straight right now....bbl to add to it.

You know this because you live in Texas? ...oh wait...you live in ALASKA.
Sealing the borders doesn't do anything except promote more illegal immigration. We outsource jobs where they are cheap so as long as there are people out there willing to work for cheap our 'living standard' will not change.
