In the instance of the video, its not about who's tough and who's the pussy. Its about who is breaking the law and who is upholding the law.

Like I said, I worked in DC for 5 years and was routinely inconvenienced by these protestors. We used to go down and watch (from a distance). The bottom line is that these "protestors" (more like anarchists if you ask me) are well organized and the only goal is to disrupt the business at hand and to incite the police. Fuck 'em.

you weren't the one who made the indication that everyone who protests is a pussy and every cop deserves to be considered tough.

Chill. This isn't Tianamen Square we're talking about here. If anything I think the cop was acting on insinct. He saw some guy step up, and he did what was natural. I would probably do the same in that situation. It's not my place to say if it was excessive or not, but it sure looked (and sounded) effective. I'm with a lot of these "conservatives" on the matter, the protestor stepped up, and he was put in his place, simple as that.

SO a push back or a bash to the ribs or leg/arm would not have been enough ? I am sure after a good rib shot, the protestor would have backed off. But to make such a blow to his head ?
