Not quite. 5800 was the dust buster pos that was supposed to answer the 9700/9800. Production was stopped a few weeks later and there was nothing for a while. Then they released the 5900 which was a step in the right direction but still a POS. The 5700 came out later in game when the 9600XTs came out.

Gotta love the 5800s. They are a collectors item now.

Have you seen the video that nvidia made making fun of their own card? They attached the 5800 to like leaf blowers and hair driers and stuff.
