beer:
You could, realistically, spend hours in the character creation section. Facially ( eek: ) - its deeper than other Create-A-Character games (SMACKDOWN! comes to mind). . .
Youll see words that you've never seen before (the fuck is a sellion) in the menu. Great overall system.
Oh - and the game fucking rocks. I played for 6 hours yesterday, and spent 4 of it in the Imperial City - so many houses. . .so much loot. Definitely a place for my negro blade wielding thief.
The only problem with the game is that if you dont have a SUPER HIGH system - default settings are going to look like shit and you will need to tweak them.

I'll try to post screens later if folks havent gotten the game.
Honestly the only real problem I have with the graphics is when youre outside looking into the distance. The textures on objects that arent in your "cell" (the area the game loads that you're running around in) - look like shit. Which isnt suprising isnce if they loaded everything, the game would run at 5FPS.
When youre in the city or in forests and not having to look at the shitty mountains in the distance - the game looks great.
I'm going to upgrade anyway, because its bullshit that you cant get the quality seen in the Coming Soon video's unless you have an XBOX360.
A german review dude ran the game with a 9800. . .it looked ok at 1024-760 (or whatever that resolution is). Thats what I run the game at and it looks great and runs better. Its not going to wow you with particle effects and shit - but it doesnt jerk you out of the experience.
I cant wait to get home and play some more (even though right now I'm tired as all hell).
I would say the main thing with this game is the video card - some cards listed on the retail box have been removed from the "supported card" FAQ on the official website - meaning some people are shit outta luck running series 5 nVidia FX cards. That and system memory. But the card overall. So I'll be inveesting in a 6800GT for upgrade. I'd get a 7600 if I felt I REALLY needed it.
Overall though - expect this game to get patches bleeding out the ass.
Still the game kicks ass. As for the looting - I havent actually DONE any looting, as most houses are shut tighter than mormon chicks legs, and there are fucking guards - EVERYWHERE. Right now Im thinking about just killing one of the shop propieters that has goods I want, and simply paying the fine - or going to jail, and then returning and looting her items (although I THINK the game is now setup to where after three days, items like that simply go poof. . .which would SUCK).

This is on my default settings that the game gave me. I don't know how many FPS i'm running so if anyone knows how to enable that I would appreciate it. I would then increase the level of detail cause as it is now it runs pretty smoothly. it's only 1024X768. My rig can handle a little more I think.

Yeah, i guess it works. there is a console so there must be an in game command for fps...i just don't know it.
anyway, turned up the detail and it looks pretty good.
Story of the screens:
Was going to ride the horse, but for some reason they thought i was stealing it so they started to attack me. i killed them then went to kill the horse which got its head stuck in the roof. after that i decided to kill the guys inside, but two of them are important to the game so they just go unconscious for a few seconds and then wake up like nothing has happened.
You can also pick stuff up kind of like in half life 2. you can move bodies around or liek i did pick up arms of dead people. pretty cool.

I think i'm going to keep it at 1280X1024. the sliders are mostly half way and the draw distance is all the way. all the options for off or on are all on and 2X AA. My FPS drops to 15 or so in big battles, but it is manageable. most of the time it's around 30. maybe i'll tweek around a bit more, and i might use the ati tool to overclock my vid card a bit.
one other thing about the radiant ai:
when i started killing guards in one town a civilian picked up one of the dead guards sword and started attacking me along with the other guards. once i hit him with my sword, he ran away. happy:

You know what ? I'm kind of ticked off that after taking the BLADE gear in that mountain fortress, I get "arrested" in the Imperial city for theft: how the FUCK do THEY know it's stolen gear ?
On a similar note, how in the hell do you remove the "stolen item" indication on your shit ? I tried getting pardoned in a church (yeah... I know) but that doesn't work. I'm just annoyed at such a stupid bug: otherwise, the game is great.
