Recommended hard drives? -

I have to get my hard drive replaced, as I described in a recent thread, because its on its last legs and will only last a week or so. I've backed up all my stuff now so its time to start over...
loney:
I only know a few manufacturers: Maxtor, Raid, Hitachi, Samsung....
the size will be around 100-160gigs depending on the cost of course.
It doesn't have to be top spec, just enough to do its job well and not cost a fortune
Could anyone recommend me some internal drives?

Wicked, cheers for all your help dudes, I'm looking for Seagate Barracuda IDE drives now........installation should be quite straightforward I hope. Just unscrewing and taking out the old one, replacing with new..........things can't go wrong surely happy:
btw, I admit I've never partioned any of my hard drives before, I'm going to try that so I can keep all my programs and my windows files seperate. I'm sick of being a hard disk noob, time to experiment rock:

btw the SATA connectors can be black too. check under the device manager and see if it says or has anything about a SCSI / Raid Controllers. if not IDE is fine
