Default iTunes problem - 03-26-2006, 01:43 PM

All my mp3's from my computer were deleted (but I had all backups on CD so it wasn't like they were gone forever). However, after putting the mp3's back in the computer and into iTunes, it seemed that none of the tags were there. The iTunes only kept the filenames of the songs, but the artist/title/album/genre/year/etc. were all gone. I could easily manually put in the filenames, but with over thousands of songs, it will probably kill me before I finish.

Does anyone know of a way that iTunes (or Winamp) can recognize the file based on the name and put in the tags automatically? All my files are labeled as Artist-SongName.mp3, so could iTunes just make it so all the tags are filled using this information. Or am I screwed?
