Riff RAF eh ed:
Royal Navy is the way to go!!!!! rock:
j/k, biggrin: I hope you enjoy your time in that nasty light blue uniform of yours. Sounds like quite an interesting career one of my mates is joining the RAF as a photographer.
Basic Training is at Halton, it lasts 8 weeks (I think) It is supposed to be pretty tough depending on how much effort you put into it (and how physically fit you are)
The hardest part for me will be the running and all the physical side of the basic training. I know what to expect for drill and shooting so that should be a breeze for me!
Besides all that money for ME!!! biggrin:
Pay is pretty shit for the first few months but once I've been there 1 year+ I'll be loaded. I get time off for doing fun stuff like skiing and pretty much every y adventure training activities available (at a very cheap cost too) happy:

My Basic is 6 1/2 weeks long. It is more mental than physical. I can't wait to get it out of the way. Last night I had to go to Commanders Call, and we study rank, and practiced facing, saluting, and attention/ parade rest. We alos ate some good ol' pizza.
